Apartment From Silent Hill 4: The Room Recreated in Unity

shtheroom.jpgStuff like this is bittersweet in the wake of Silent Hills' cancellation earlier this year. First you have Allison Road, the hyperrealistic horror game from London-based Lilith Ltd. visually designed in the sinister vein of P.T.

Now, you have this: a remake of Henry Townshend's haunted apartment from Silent Hill 4: The Room, which P.T. itself undoubtedly pulled from with its approach to inescapable hauntings framed by a first-person POV.

Sadly, this isn't a playable demo since Konami owns Silent Hill - despite ditching the latest project - but it's still cool to look at if you're a fan of the series and independent projects alike.

The apartment shown off in the video is a pretty faithful recreation of the iconic Room 302, chained-up front door and all. Even the game's intro credits have been remade, featuring a swooping camera flying around the apartment and set to what sounds like the creator's own version of Akira Yamaoka's Room of Angel.

According to the video's YouTube description, all the 3D modeling and texturing, coding, sound design, and editing was done from scratch by Dennis Giesler and Vjaceslav Tissen of Moonville Entertainment.
