Explore the Unsettling Architecture of theWanderer

theWandererNot since Kairo have I explored a game world as unsettling and weird as the one presented in theWanderer.

Inspired by NaissanceE, another game of similarly eerie architecture, theWanderer asks you to explore a winding path of claustrophobic corridors and impossibly vast interiors. Nearly the whole way, a heavy darkness smothers all but your immediate surroundings, obscuring the size and shape of things so that every step is one into the unknown.

You can finish the game in about 10 to 15 minutes, but the standout thing right now is the atmosphere. It dominates what little story the experience offers and makes your meanderings through its unusual structures that much stronger.

theWanderer 2theWanderer is still a work in progress, according to its developer. It was made over the course of a single month and still needs to be optimized, so you might need a good computer to run it. If you have that, I definitely recommend giving it a go.
